The use of Shungite in the diets of high productive cattle.

Abstract:

The research focused on the stimulation of digestion by using the biologically active substances and their complexes was done. The possibility of optimizing the digestive processes and increasing the productivity of highly productive ruminants by feeding the shungite mineral was studied. Studies were conducted on lactating cows and calves of Black-Motley breed in the conditions of one of the farms of Moscow region. In the first scientific-economic experiment on the principle of analogues 2 groups of lactating cows were formed, 15 animals in each, while the level of productivity was 6500-7000 kg of milk per lactation. In the second scientific and economic experiment 2 groups of calves at the age of 3-4 months were formed, with the live weight of 100-110 kg, 15 animals in each. Animals of the experimental groups received the basic diet with shungite mineral at the rate of 0.3% of the ration's dry matter (in the first experiment - 70 g per animal a day, in the second – 12 g). The results showed that the inclusion of shungite in the composition of the diet of dairy cattle contributes to the optimization of fermentation processes in the rumen, which is shown in the decrease of ammonia concentration by 25.4%, the increase of amylolytic activity of microorganisms by 2.6%, of concentration of volatile fatty acids - by 3.3% and of mass of microorganisms. Introduction of shungite mineral to the basic diet of lactating cows helped to increase milk productivity of cow.
